I’m Lou — mum of two, travel lover and the founder behind this biz, Travel X which I created just over 2 years ago and....drumroll please.... also the founder of Kooshy Kids.. Huh? What? Confused. Lol, let me explain it for you.
For the last 9 years I’ve been deep in the world of family travel accessories, and I’ve now helped over 350,000 families travel better worldwide. I’ve built trust the hard way — by actually showing up, obsessing over the details, and making products that do what they promise.
But here’s why Travel X exists.
I kept seeing and hearing about cheap knock-offs everywhere and what a disaster they have been for families that have attempted to use them.
You know how the saying goes, "you get what you pay for".
At that price point do you think you can get quality? Safety standards? A warranty? Accountability? Reassurance?
When it’s something my child is using on a plane… I’m sorry (not sorry), but that’s not a risk I’m taking.
So I made a decision.
Instead of hearing about families feel like they had no choice but to gamble on random alternatives…
I built the safe alternative myself.
Travel X.
Yes, I basically duped my own brand.
Crazy? Maybe. But I did it because it needed to exist.
Not every family wants (or needs) every extra that comes with the full Kooshy Kids experience.
Some families just want the essentials.
They want something within their budget, but they still want it to be safe, non-toxic, and made properly.
They prefer to know it wasn’t made in questionable conditions with zero standards.
So now families can choose what suits them, without the risk.
Kooshy Kids = the fully inclusive experience.

I visit our manufacturers 3–4 times a year. I see the products being made, the materials being used, and the process from start to finish. It’s the only way I can genuinely stand behind what I sell (and sleep at night).
