This Privacy Policy explains how Travel X Pty Ltd (ACN 698 109 063, ABN 51 698 109 063) ("Travel X", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information when you visit travelxstore.com.au, take our airline quiz, place an order, or get in touch with us. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Contact and identity details - your name, email address, phone or mobile number, and shipping and billing addresses.
  • Order and payment information - what you bought and your transaction details. Card payments are processed securely by our payment providers; we do not see or store your full card number.
  • Quiz responses - the answers you give in our airline quiz, such as your child's age, your airline and seat type, so we can recommend the right product.
  • Account and communications - any account you create, your marketing preferences, reviews you submit, and the content of messages you send us.
  • Technical information - device, browser and usage data collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use our site.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you - when you order, take the quiz, create an account, sign up for emails or SMS, leave a review, or contact us - and automatically through cookies and analytics tools as you browse. Where it is reasonable and practical, we will collect your information directly from you.

Why we use it

  • to process, fulfil and deliver your orders;
  • to provide customer service and handle warranty claims;
  • to recommend products through the airline quiz;
  • to send you marketing emails and SMS where you have opted in;
  • to run, secure and improve our website and products; and

Marketing and how to opt out

We only send marketing emails or SMS to people who have opted in. You can opt out at any time - use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply STOP to any SMS, or email us at info@travelxstore.com.au. We will action it promptly.

Photos you share with us

We love seeing Travel X in the wild. If you send us photos or videos - through a review, an Instagram tag or mention, a form, or an email - we take it that you are happy for us to reshare and reuse them across our website, social media and marketing. It is the best way for other parents to see the real thing in action.

Changed your mind, or never wanted them shared in the first place? No stress - just email us at info@travelxstore.com.au and we will keep them private or take them down.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the providers that help us run Travel X, and only as needed to do their job:

  • our e-commerce platform (Shopify) and our payment providers, to run the site and process payments;
  • our fulfilment partner and delivery couriers, to pack and ship your order;
  • our email and SMS platform (Klaviyo), to send communications you have opted into;
  • our reviews platform (Loox), to collect and display product reviews; and
  • government bodies, regulators or others where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our providers store or process personal information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose your information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Travel X products are designed for children, but our store and services are intended for adults - parents and guardians - to use.
