The Travel X Plane Foot Cushion and Self-Inflating Foot Cushion are approved onboard Qantas, QantasLink and Jetstar.
Got the self-inflating one? Remove the pump before you fly — it's a simple twist in/out. Then inflate it with the Handy Pump (recommended) or by mouth.
The terms
- Manual inflation only — no battery-powered pumps onboard (this includes the Rapid Pump).
- Window seat on smaller planes. On bigger Qantas planes, a window seat or one of the two centre seats in the middle block of four — you can use two if your family has the whole block.
- On Jetstar, you can use two side by side in a row of three (window and middle) if your family has the whole row.
- Not in aisle seats, bulkhead rows or emergency exit rows.
- Counts as one item within your or your child's carry-on allowance.
- Deflate it and pack it away whenever the seatbelt sign is on.
- Cabin crew check it onboard and have the final say.
- Plane bunks aren't approved on Qantas yet, and aren't permitted on Jetstar.
